Life is not a controlled environment. That’s why NIRSense builds hospital-quality patient monitors that work wherever the patients are. Our ruggedized Total OximetryTM monitors record tissue oxygen kinetics and other physiological measurements to help clinicians diagnose and treat the most challenging health conditions.
From the high skies to the deep seas, NIRSense devices provide valuable data to help solve health challenges experienced by elite warfighters. Over 5+ years of development and testing in partnership with the U.S. military, NIRSense monitors have been proven to withstand the toughest environments on Earth. Our devices are waterproof, shock resistant, lightweight, and compact — built as tough as warfighters themselves.
Because NIRSense Total OximetryTM monitors are purpose-built to withstand difficult conditions, they’re perfectly suited for use on the front lines of medicine. Our lightweight, wireless, and ruggedized devices provide high-quality data no matter where patients are: at work or play, at home or in the hospital, in the ER or the ICU. In any unpredictable, uncontrolled environment — aka real life — NIRSense monitors provide the patient data clinicians need to make the right decisions.
Pulse oximetry is commonly used to monitor arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2), but is unreliable in certain conditions. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) can detect oxygenation in venous and arterial blood deeper in the tissue (StO2). NIRSense devices provide precise pulse and tissue oximetry — what we call Total OximetryTM. The result: detailed and highly reliable data to guide crucial healthcare decisions.
